Last week I posted a profit of £880.
This week I have played sparingly, posting a small profit of £22.50 yesterday and £58 today.
I'm playing sensibly. Scalping. Within my account size. It feels great.
Having lost almost all of my money I was in a desperate place. I doubted myself.
I took a step back, read, analysed where I had made errors and took action.
It feels so good to be heading in the right direction. I'm choosing my entry points with great care. I'm playing with a manageable stake. I'm playing the Ftse, the Dow and EUR/USD.
I have a way to go to recover my original investment but I'm moving in the required direction.
Confidence is key to success in the game. Also knowing I'm only ever 1 trade from blowing my account (and having been there) I don't want to ever again experience that sinking feeling.
I'll post an update at the end of the week.
Happy trading.
Follow my journey (and amuse yourself at my expense) as I attempt to take money from the markets daily. I'm 50, a father of three boys, I live in London and I work for myself. I started trading the FTSE at the end of May 2012. My goal is to earn £500 a day scalping 10 points at £50/point inside 4 hours trading from my kitchen.

Update
Hello again.
I'm not going to become one of those statistics, you know, become one of the majority of spread bettors who give up after blowing their account in the first two months.
I have learnt from the two catastrophic losing trades that blew £3500 of my budget. I'm trading with good entry points, smaller stakes and most importantly I'm closing losing trades early. Most times I play with a stop loss and my biggest losing trade has been just under £100, that's manageable.
I made over £100 yesterday and today I'm content to be £20 up.
Alhtough I could really do with the money I'm in no rush to get it back. If I was I'd lose it all. Ive stabalised my trading, made a few hundred quid in the last week or so and feel so much better.
I'll post again at the end of the week with an update.
